Job Contents

Market Development Engineer is a hybrid role of a Sales Development Engineer with Marcom. This incumbent will work with and Marcom as well as Logistics and Life Science sales team to penetrate and generate leads and funnel. This role will cover Japan. This role will also have opportunities to move to a field sales position in future.

  • Salary: 6million-8millon

Marcom (Market Communication)

  • Work with Asia MDE manager to plan for activities and ensure smooth execution of them,both online and offline, including budget management.
  • Ensure close alignment with Logistics and Life science sales team for understanding the targeted accounts as well as applications to support the achievement of the sales quota.
  • Continuous database building and maintenance through creative programs
  • Projects and funnel generation through planned activities
  • Local applications content creation and sharing
  • Take advantage of Account based Marketing strategy to penetrate top accounts

SDE (Sales Development Engineer)

  • Qualify inbound leads through email and telephone conversations with the customer
  • Outbound calls to targeted accounts for appointments for Sales team
  • Good understanding of Logistics and Life Science industry and potential to be able to create successful projects for Sales team by Market intelligence collection
  • Penetrate targeted accounts and win over competitors’ accounts

Preferred skills

  • At least 2-3 years working experience
  • Past experience in inside sales or field sales is ideal
  • Experience working with Salesforce and Microsoft PBI
  • Good English speaking and writing capacity
  • Team player and shows initiative in creating new and exciting programs
  • Sales oriented and numbers driven
  • Marketing planning and execution work is a bonus
  • Logistics industry knowledge is a bonus
  • Barcode reading and vision system knowledge is a bonus
